The house is located just outside Bagni di Lucca, which can be reached in less than 5 km. The coast at Camaiore is 50 km away. Just outside Camaiore is the famous resort and beach town of Viareggio, one of the Italian Riviera’s most popular vacation spots with endless sandy beaches and a stunning lido.

The airport in Pisa is 60 km from the house, and as Florence is also only 90 km from the house, there are many flight options.

If you’re into sports, the location of the house is also ideal. Italy’s 5th best golf course according to Golf Digest, Le Pavoniere Golf & Country Club, can be reached in less than an hour’s drive. Tuscany’s best skiing can be found in Abetone, just 40 km from the house.

At the same time, there are countless opportunities for cycling and hiking in the mountainous landscape. Not to mention the countless wineries in the area. Here you can enjoy fine wine and delicious food.

We recommend renting a car at the airport (Pisa or Florence) so you can easily get around and experience the area’s many offerings, the local market, the cities and the scenery of the mountains and valleys. It’s also convenient to have a car when the family goes shopping. The owners can park in front of the house in a small car (max width: 180 cm), as there is a small area with only 199 cm free space to drive through the charming streets of the town. Alternatively, park a short distance from the house and walk the rest of the way, just like the Italians do.
